Inspired by one of our recent kids sewing & crafting classes in Northern Virginia we whipped up some yummy (and adorable!) minion chocolate treats!   We wanted to share the idea with you.  See below to make some at your house, for a minion party or at your next Girl Scout meeting! What you will need: Wilton Chocolate Melts (yellow and blue) edible googley eyes Minion candy (see picture below-found at Michaels, AC Moore or JoAnns) Waffle square shaped pretelzs (you could use circle instead) microwave safe bowl spoon paper plates Lets Make It! Running out of fun ideas to do with your Girl Scout troop?  We have a few things in mind! Girl Scout Cookie Pillows: If you know how to sew this is a super fun sewing project to do:  Samoa and Thin Mint stuffed animal pillows!  The pillows we make in our sewing classes are about 12 inches by 12 inches.  You can pre-cut the circles then have the girls sew and stuff!  Then have scrap fabrics and embellishments ready for them to decorate.  These would be great to make and have at your next cookie booth.  They would definitely draw attention! These groovy pet rocks are an awesome craft to do with your Girl Scout troop to work towards a retro inspired badge (Playing the Past Junior badge is just one idea), or at your daughters next birthday party! We have a really fun and inexpensive American Girl Doll pretend food crafting project for you in this article! Check out the directions below to make one for your own doll or stuffed animal! Supplies: Mini cup (we bought these online they are communion cups but you can also use any mini size clear cup) Clear tacky glue scissors straw (regular size or mini drink stirrer) pony beads small piece of green foam for lime wedge How to Make: Start by cutting your straw so it is slightly taller than the cup. Stick your straw inside the cup. Now put your beads inside the cup. A very merry unbirthday to you! This mad hatter miniature version is such a cute idea for an Alice and Wonderland themed birthday or tea party! You can make this craft for your American Girl Doll, Build A Bear Teddy, or yourself! Supplies: one small top hat (we bought these for about $1.50 from JoAnn Fabrics. Lets make part two of the American Girl Doll Disney Ariel Little Mermaid inspired outfit! You will need: two sea shells (you can get them at the beach or buy them from Dollar Tree or craft store) purple paint (we used one shimmery purple on top of the solid purple) paintbrush hot glue gun (with adult help) one pipe cleaner TO MAKE THE FIN CLICK HERE         How to Make: Start by painting your two shells with the purple paint.  Wait for it to dry. Everyone loves Disney...especially Little Mermaid!  Such a classic!  Learn how to make this adorable Ariel inspired outfit for your American Girl Doll! At one of our recent American Girl Doll camps in Chantilly, VA we had a fun week celebrating all things Disney...for our 18'' dolls.
