These groovy pet rocks are an awesome craft to do with your Girl Scout troop to work towards a retro inspired badge (Playing the Past Junior badge is just one idea), or at your daughters next birthday party! We have a really fun and inexpensive American Girl Doll pretend food crafting project for you in this article! Check out the directions below to make one for your own doll or stuffed animal! Supplies: Mini cup (we bought these online they are communion cups but you can also use any mini size clear cup) Clear tacky glue scissors straw (regular size or mini drink stirrer) pony beads small piece of green foam for lime wedge How to Make: Start by cutting your straw so it is slightly taller than the cup. Stick your straw inside the cup. Now put your beads inside the cup. A very merry unbirthday to you! This mad hatter miniature version is such a cute idea for an Alice and Wonderland themed birthday or tea party! You can make this craft for your American Girl Doll, Build A Bear Teddy, or yourself! Supplies: one small top hat (we bought these for about $1.50 from JoAnn Fabrics. Lets make part two of the American Girl Doll Disney Ariel Little Mermaid inspired outfit! You will need: two sea shells (you can get them at the beach or buy them from Dollar Tree or craft store) purple paint (we used one shimmery purple on top of the solid purple) paintbrush hot glue gun (with adult help) one pipe cleaner TO MAKE THE FIN CLICK HERE         How to Make: Start by painting your two shells with the purple paint.  Wait for it to dry. In one of our recent sewing camps for kids in Chantilly, Virginia we taught the girls to sew some cute food stuffed animals! Want to make a pretend and delicious hot dog meal?  See below for some sewing inspiration! If you know how to hand sew or have someone who can teach you this is a great project!  After you hand sew the hot dog you can use hot glue (with adult help) to make the bun, ketchup, mustard and fries!  Add some pickles too.  Check out our pictures in this post for ideas.
