Girl Scout Day at Udvar Hazy Air & Space Museum: MOON ROCKS CRAFT!
March 9, 2019 from 10am-3pm
This is a GSCNC sponsored event and we are participating as a premier program partner. Girl Scouts can register via link to earn a fun patch. Non Girl Scouts are welcome to come to Museum and attend too. Come to our booth and make your own galaxy moon rocks with us!
(TAKEN FROM GSCNC WEBSITE) “Take the controls of a flight simulator, go inside an inflatable planetarium, see the Space Shuttle Discovery, experiment with the forces of gravity, and speak with female scientists and engineers all on the same day. Presenters from the museum, Federal Aviation Administration, NASA, US Fish and Wildlife Service and many more make this a unique opportunity for Girl Scouts of all ages, and Daisies, Brownies and Juniors can work on some of the requirements of the new space science badges!
This is a “family and Friends” event- so parents, siblings, and potential Girl Scouts are encouraged to attend with your troop. Please include these additional people in your registration. All Girl Scouts who register by Tuesday, February 19 will receive a free patch at the Girl Scout table on the day of the event. Museum admission is free; parking is $15 per vehicle.”
$FREE (Parking fee at Museum is $15 a car), all supplies included.
Open to Kindergarten and up!
