Holiday Craft Alert- 18” Doll Christmas Tree!

The holiday season is here and its the perfect time to craft up a little Christmas tree for your 18” www.cupcakesandlace.comdoll!

At one of our recent 18” doll accessory classes in Northern Virginia, we made these adorable little trees!  They just require a little adult prep work and then the kiddos can do the decorating!  See below for instructions.

You will need:

  • Christmas tree garland cut two about 1.5 feet.  (We found a long roll about 15 feet from the craft store and used floral scissors to cut them down.)
  • Styrofoam circle for bottom of tree (found at Dollar Tree or craft store)
  • Glue gun (For extra strength when placing the Christmas tree into the Styrofoam disk.)
  • Mini ornaments, ribbons, candy canes string etc. for decorating the tree!
After cutting the garland to desired size (we cut the tree about 1.5 feet) hot glue the bottom of tree to Styrofoam circle and push down a little so it goes halfway into the Styrofoam.  Have the girls use their imagination to decorate with mini ornaments, ribbons, mini candy canes or whatever else you have on hand.  We also covered the tree with a Christmas skirt made out of a felt square!  Happy Holidays to you and your doll!
