Craft Your Own 18” Doll Mini Italian Restaurant, Table & Food
At one of our recent Cupcakes and Lace summer camps here in Northern Virginia, we taught the girls how to make tons of mini pretend restaurant cuisines, food and furniture for their 18” or American Girl doll!
In our own 5 day camp we taught the girls a different country and cuisine each day and then crafted mini tables, food and more to go with that theme! Here are some highlights and photos from our Italy day!
We always like to be eco-friendly and teach the girls about re-using so we got Olive Oil bulk boxes from Costco to use as a doll table! Then we had the girls decoupage (glue mixed with a tiny bit of water to create a paste using a paint brush) pictures and scenes from Italy. We found a few Italy art books and architecture books from a local used book store for just a few dollars and let the girls cut the photos out to cover their Italy doll table.
After letting the box dry it was time to craft some mini Italian food like spaghetti, pizza, gelato and cannolis!
Lastly, the girls named their Italian Restaurants, painted signs for it, and made mini Italian Art Museum panels!
