Visit Casa Cuna Orphange/Childrens Home In Aruba: & Girl Scout Service Project Idea!
While she was there they visited a childrens home called Casa Cuna. They purchased a few bags of childrens clothing from Little Lords and Ladies, packed it up in their suitcase and brought it over to the home in Aruba.
Casa Cuna serves as a place for young children who may be in difficult family situations, abusive households, or those that may be in foster care or need of adoption. Kids are ages birth to about 8 years old.
They got to meet a few of the younger kids (some of the kids were at school during the time they came) and see a tour of the home. While seeing the home you can tell this place gives them so much love and dedication from the workers of Casa Cuna. They keep the place very organized and a friendly home for the kids.
If your are ever in the area getting off port on a cruise or visting Oranjestad, Aruba then consider visiting this home or donating money or clothing. They don’t have a website but here is a phone number for them. If you do visit you will need to call ahead of time to schedule a visit. (You will need to call from a landline or have an international cell phone plan). Casa Cuna Telephone #: 00297-5857177

They did say they could use craft supplies, or something fun like that for the kids to do. Clothing and possibly diapers can always be used as well.
