Today is Earth Day! At our after school class at Arcola Elementary in Aldie, Virginia we showed the girls how to sew the cutest globe pillows. We used a pretty blue cotton fabric for the circle globe shape. We cut a circle about 12 by 12 inches. Then the girls sewed the globe right sides together and a little hole. We turned right side out and stuffed it up with pillow fluff! Next we hand stitched up the opening. The best part was cutting out the continents and heart shapes for the globe. As some of you local parents know my 87 year old Grandmas has been make doll clothes for over 50 years! She now has an Etsy shop where she sells her adorable American Girl Doll Clothes. Each outfit comes with at least 2 accessories (sometimes a headband, purse, shoes etc.) and each is one of a kind. She never makes two of the same outfit. Unless for special request of course! What do Easter Bunnies enjoy eating? Yes, carrots! We have a mini pretend carrot craft here for you to make for a mini bunny stuffed animal or even for your American Girl Doll or Teddy bear. It only take 4 supplies! Mini Carrots Supplies: Crayola Model Magic Orange marker Green pipe cleaner scissors How to Make: Start by rolling a small amount of model magic into a ball then a flat pancake. Color your clay with an orange marker like the picture shown. Roll it back into a ball to blend the color together. Repeat steps 2-3 about 5 times until you reach a light shade of orange. We love crafting miniature items here at Cupcakes and Lace! Here is a fun springtime themed kids craft that you can make for your mini Easter bunnies, stuffed animals or dolls! We chose to make these little stools for adorable Easter bunny stuffed animals we found at Oriental Trading! They also have several other varieties of bunnies. All you need is a few supplies and a great imagination to make this fun craft. I want all of our readers to be aware of all the cool Girl Scout artifacts, memorabilia and badges that they sell. Annelies is a Girl Scout Historian with the best Ebay shop I have seen!
